Age of Empires Gold

Age of Empires (often abbreviated to AoE) is a game of real-time strategy launched in 1997, known for its historical plot. Developed by Ensemble Studios and published by Microsoft, uses the Genie engine, which uses 2D sprites models. The game allows users to be great leaders of ancient civilizations, attacking each other in order to advance in four ages (Stone Age, Polished Stone Age, Bronze Age and Iron Age), evolving their civilizations both technologically and operationally.
Civilizations have to advance technologically to achieve improvements, but to this must sometimes combine technologies to create new units, buildings or even other technologies. So the player needs to combine buildings to build new ones, and you need to have knowdoledge to get any kind of unity in a strategic way, building them correctly and saving resources. This then leads the game at a advanced strategic level.
The Gold version includes the original Age of Empires and the expansion The Rise of Rome.
